The Young Australian Hotel, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional service, is seeking a part-time qualified chef or cook. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant and contribute to our culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• preparing for service, which includes ensuring the kitchen is well stocked with the necessary ingredients, as well as cleaning, cutting and prepping food
• cooking and serving food while coordinating with other kitchen staff and wait staff
• maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen
• ensuring that dishes meet high standards at all stages of preparation and presentation

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a chef/cook
• Valid police check
• Availability for day and evening shifts, including weekends
• Strong reliability, initiative, and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to follow directions and maintain high service standards
